Your choice

If you visit from Europe (the EU, the UK or Switzerland), this site only measures visits after you allow it in the cookie banner; until then no analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default. Wherever you are, you can turn it off or on here at any time.

Not chosen yet: nothing is collected until you choose.

What is measured, and why

I use two tools to understand how visitors use this portfolio and to fix what doesn't work:

  • Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages and sections are viewed, how long for, which buttons are clicked (for example Résumé, email or a project), the website or link a visit came from, and the approximate country and city, device and browser.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how the page is used (scrolling, mouse movement and clicks) as anonymous session replays and heatmaps, and reports errors. Text you type is masked.

Your region is worked out from your browser's time zone setting, only to decide whether to ask first. Separately, Vercel Web Analytics counts visits and Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load; both use no cookies and collect no personal data, so they run for everyone. None of these tools tells me who you are. I don't collect names or email addresses through them, don't use them for advertising, and don't sell or share the data.

Cookies

When analytics is on, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_…, and Microsoft Clarity sets _clck and _clsk plus Microsoft cookies it relies on. They tell repeat visits apart; they don't identify you. Declining here deletes them.

How long data is kept

Google Analytics keeps event data for 14 months. Microsoft Clarity keeps session replays for about 30 days. Both are processed under Google's and Microsoft's own terms: Google Privacy Policy and Microsoft Privacy Statement.
